HABITAT RESTORATION
Herrings House, City of Seattle (2001-2002)
Taylor Associates, Inc. was a subconsultant on a team that designed an intertidal off channel habitat on the Duwamish Waterway which was later named Herring’s House. Staff assisted landscape architects and engineers with habitat design and the permitting process. During project construction, Taylor Associates, Inc. conducted monitoring to ensure Best Management Practices were implemented. After construction, Taylor Associates, Inc. assisted the Army Corp of Engineers with post-construction monitoring. Post-construction monitoring involved capturing, identifying, and marking salmonids using Herring’s House new intertidal habitat.
