HABITAT RESTORATION

Redondo Seawall Reconstruction Project,
King County (1998-2001)

Taylor Associates, Inc. was responsible for monitoring changes in beach substrate and forage fish (surf smelt and sand lance) eggs during post-construction monitoring for the seawall reconstruction. Project tasks included collecting beach substrate, analyzing beach substrate for forage fish spawn presence and beach substrate particle size analysis, data analysis, and development of recommendations report. Results concluded that contingency measures were not needed to mitigate the impacts of the reconstructed sea wall on beach substrate for forage fish.
