STORMWATER/WATER QUALITY
NPDES Permit Stormwater Monitoring Support at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Port of Seattle (1998-present)
Taylor Associates, Inc. provides stormwater monitoring services to meet the requirements of the Port of Seattles NPDES permit at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (STIA). Staff are responsible for collecting grab and flow-weighted composite samples and monitoring flow at 14 stormwater outfalls. Over 150 grab and composite samples are collected annually. Chemical analyses of the stormwater samples include pH, hardness, fecal coliforms, total-petroleum hydrocarbons, biological oxygen demand, turbidity, total suspended solids, glycols, copper, lead, and zinc. Taylor Associates, Inc. also provides support for special water quality studies related to NPDES permit compliance at STIA. These special studies include:
