INNOVATION

Sampling device designed and deployed by Taylor Associates, Inc. in conjunction with Instrumentation Northwest and MeasureTek to quantitatively sample juvenile salmonid prey organisms flooding into an ebbing out of an estuarine restoration site. Device consists of a Campbell Scientific programmable logger/controler, peristaltic pump, and valve actuator.   This 10-inch PVC pipe insert was installed in a manhole along SR 518 near Seattle-Tacoma Airport. The inset holds a Thel-Mar weir used to measure flow rate into the structure from a catch-basin.
