AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Taylor Associates, Inc. has been in business for over 18 years and offers expertise in three core areas:
• Water Quality
• Hydrology
• Fisheries.
In the area of water quality, surface water monitoring is our primary focus
with a specialty in stormwater monitoring. We are considered to be the regional
leader in stormwater monitoring having collected over 6000 samples on over
20 projects. A description of what

In the area of hydrology, surface water monitoring, again, is our primary focus. Our expertise in hydrology is integral with our expertise in water quality monitoring since many of our projects require the collection of water samples using automated sampling equipment which is flow triggered and paced. Our flow monitoring also supports calculation of pollutant loads for our water quality projects.
In the area of fisheries, our focus includes both conventional fish survey
and characterization work as well as design of habitat restoration projects.
As an example, in the Duwamish River/Estuary, Taylor Associates, Inc. has
caught over 100,000 fish in more than 500 sets and worked with the City of
Seattle and Port of Seattle to design the Herring’s House and Terminal 105
restoration projects. These projects provide intertidal off channel habitat
for migrating juvenile salmonids.
